How to use LAPS
How to use LAPS
In order to get the local password from the device PWPSD IT staff will need the hostname. Instructions are included in this article: hostname instructions. Note that there is a limited time window for these passwords, and if that window has passed they will no longer work. Once you have the passwords, from a PWPSD IT Staff member, the below will get you signed on.
Username:
.\administrator
Password:
%frompwpsdIT%
Note: The .\ (dot + backslash) is very important and the password indicated above is NOT the password to use. You will get that directly from a PWPSD Staff member.
If done correctly, you will see the domain change from PWSB33 to the computer’s local name.
