Uses: • When a LAMP iPad is erased (This must happen when moving and iPad from the old MDM to Intune), if an iPad is being replaced/upgraded with a new device, or regular periodic backups, which we recommend.

Option 1: How to back up LAMP Student Vocabulary Files using the Google Drive App.

  1. On the currently used LAMP iPad, log into Drive:

    1. Open the Google Drive app

    2. Log into it with the student’s email address & credentials.

  2. On the currently used LAMP iPad, export the file:

    1. Select the Vocab button.

    2. Tap Choose New Vocab.

    3. Touch the Menu button and select Import/Export Vocab

    4. Choose Export and Share and select the vocabulary you want to save.

    5. Click Done to open the share menu.

    6. Choose the Drive icon.

    7. Choose an appropriate location (we recommend creating a new folder called “LAMP Vocab Backup”), and click Upload.

  3. This step is needed only if the iPad is NOT dedicated specifically to the student:

    1. Remember to log out of the Google Drive app.

Note: When restoring, if the file is grey in Drive, download the file from Drive to the Files app local on the iPad, then from LAMP, choose Files (on this iPad) from the import menu.

 

  1. Search for Microsoft Store in Windows, via the Task Bar Search.

  2. Search for iTunes and then click Get.

    1. This will install iTunes onto your workstation.

  3. Follow the latest instructions from the manufacturer for manual iTunes backup.
